What exactly is....

....the UN good for? I have never believed in the "blue helmet" role fo the UN. They are uniquely unsuited to the task of world policeman. However, I've always thought the UN served a useful role as a leader of humanitarian aid efforts. UNSCAM has proven the former right in spades, and now their incompentency in the tsunami relief efforts should force any reasonable person to ask, "What do we need them for?"
