Why dishonest reporting hurts us all

Beldar discusses today's Supreme Court "decision" in the Texas redistricting case and explains what it means (not much.) He also addresses the bias of the AP (no surprise there) reporting. In matters such as this, reporting is especially critical because the subject matter affects all of us, but few of us fully understand its import. We need experts such as Beldar to explain the issues to us.

When media distorts the issues, the end result may become an article of faith based upon false assumptions. That hurts all of us. It's difficult to make intelligent decisions about our representatives when we not only don't have all the facts but the facts we do have are distorted or untrue.
