What price freedom?

In one case, an old Iraqi's last act was to vote, then walk home and die.
Intissar tells the story of a sick old man named Abdallah Wattout whose last act in life was casting a vote.

..........................

Old people were the most eager to take part, some of them came in wheelchairs. Mr. Abdallah Wattout, an old man and very sick man, insisted on walking from his house to the polling center to cast his vote. He died when he returned home. His last words were: I am dying with a taste of freedom in my mouth.

This picture shows the late Abdallah Wattout on his return from the polling center.
"With the taste of freedom in my mouth." What a delicious flavor it must have been.
