A view from the mansion

There's been much talk in the blogosphere about Jane Smiley's Slate article. Wretchard has, I think, the best take on it, and even the comments are very much worth reading.

I must confess, I find the ruminations from these "blinkered" (as Wretchard puts it) people positivly amusing.
