Change is in the air
Now that George Bush has secured re-election, many changes are taking place. He has already nominated Al Gonzales to replace John Ashcroft as Attorney General. Now Colin Powell has resigned, and the White House is nominating Condoleeza Rice as his replacement. I hope Ms. Rice has strong management skills, because State needs a serious housecleaning.
The President will also have to nominate replacements for Attorney General John Ashcroft, Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham and Education Secretary Rod Paige.
Meanwhile, turmoil reigns at the CIA, where Porter Goss is shaking things up just as he was asked to do. (Via Powerline.) Hopefully Goss will come out the other end with a better agency that serves the President and us rather than their own selfish agendas.
