It turns out that a reporter planted the question that the Tennessee Guardsman asked Secretary Rumsfeld. Here's what the bozo has to say about his effort.

"I just had one of my best days as a journalist today," he wrote.

He said it "felt good" that the question and answer received so much attention from other media.

"I believe lives are at stake with so many soldiers going across the border riding with scrap metal as protection," Pitts wrote. "It may be too late for the unit I am with, but hopefully not for those who come after."

If you were a reporter, Mr. Pitts, you would know that the troops don't drive unarmored Humvees into combat. In fact, they don't even drive them across the border, you bozo.

So, yeah, you just got your fifteen minutes of fame - and proved you're as capable as Dan Ra^ther.
