Al Sabaah reports capture of kidnappers
Al Sabaah is reporting today that the kidnappers of a Lebanese national have been captured and are being interrogated by the Iraqi intelligence service.
I've been convinced for some time that a significant part of the "resistance" movement (or insurgents as the media insists on calling them) are the criminals that were released by Sadaam immediately before the war began. What better way to sow discord than to set criminals free? They don't even have to be coordinated. You simply let them loose to wreak their havoc, and you don't even care if they are killed or arrested. They can't provide any intelligence about your plans or your locations, yet they provide a persistent thorn in the side of progess.
Sadaam may be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them.
